Walter (Wally) Carl Halder May 23, 1936 – February 10, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Walter Halder, at the age of 79, after a short battle with cancer. At the time of his passing he was in the company of his loving wife, Maxine.
Walter was predeceased by his mother Albina and father Maximillian.
He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Maxine; his sister Sr. Mary Halder; his children Sherrie (Greg), Dale (Trish), Don (Nadia), and Mark; and his cherished grandchildren Maxmillian, Kaden and Hudson.
He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends who knew him for his love of old cars, fishing, and his new found passion of creating metal lawn ornaments. The memories of his many pranks and love of laughter will be carried in our hearts.
A funeral will be held on Monday, February 15 at 1:00 pm, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wabamun.
A gathering for fellowship and refreshments will be held after the service at Darwell Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society.
