August 8, 1961 – May 13, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Wife, Daughter, Mom, Grandma, Sister and friend, Vera Leslie ( Semenyna) at the age of 54.  Vera was born and raised in Evansburg, Alberta and spent most of her adult life in the Drayton Valley, Alberta area.  Vera had a brave, short battle with cancer that took her life on May 13.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wade Leslie, children, James Gallagher, Patricia(Duncan) Conrod, their children, Ellen, Harold and Natalie , Kristin(Justin) Gallagher-Carter and their children , Jordan, Rory, and Casey.  She also leaves behind her mother , Dorothy Semenyna,   brothers and sisters, Julia, Harry(Kim) , Sylvia (Leonard), Paul, Daniel ( Josephine), Suzan ( Mike).  She was predeceased by her father Mike Semenyna and five siblings.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
The celebration of her life will take place May 19, 2016 , 4:00 P.M at the Drayton Valley Legion.  The family would like to thank the caring individuals at the Cross Cancer Clinic and the Drayton Valley Hospital.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the STARS Air Ambulance.
