September 24, 1962- May 15, 2024

Entwistle, Alberta 

 

After a brief but courageous battle Shirley Santin lost the battle with cancer. She passed away in her home in Entwistle, Alberta surrounded by loved ones at the age of 61. 

Shirley was a single mother with four kids, and dedicated her life to be the soul provider for her family. She spent her life working as a book keeper during the day and a server at night. 

Shirley was a dedicated, hardworking person, and was always a very thoughtful person. Her biggest passions were gardening, canning and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. 

Shirley is survived by her siblings Betty Price (Stan Price), Glen Nadeau (Denise Nadeau) her 4 children Crystal Davies (Allan Davies), Trina Nadeau, Gordon Davidson, predeceased by Jennifer Davidson. Her grandchildren Bradley Davies, Jenna Davies, Nicole Nadeau, Taylor Nadeau, Nicole Nadeau, Violet Nadeau, and Anna Nadeau. Her great grand children Leon Davies, Elizabeth Nadeau.

 

Shirley was born on September 24, 1962 in Fairview, Alberta where she spent her childhood. She attended Fairview College where she received her accounting degree. She spent much of her life living in different cities until she finally settled in Airdrie, Alberta in 1996. 

She worked as a book keeper and a server for many years. Shirley loved to care for people and was extremely thoughtful. She would always have gift for people whether it was baking, vegetables, or her salsa that was absolutely mouth watering.

 In 2022 Shirley made a a life changing decision to move to Entwistle to retire. She bought a home and before she was able to fulfill her dreams she was diagnosed with cancer and quickly slipped away. Shirley was a bright light in many lives and through her children and grandchildren she will remain a bright lights in our hearts, 

Thank you to all that have reached out with memories and condolences. Our family has very much appreciated it. 

 

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 2nd 11:00am-2:00pm at the Harvest Grill in Crossfield, Alberta. 

In remembrance of Shirley's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to her family to assist with funeral costs.
