She was predeceased by her biological father Ronald A Bennewith, her son John Richard Marks and siblings Lyn, Pat, Dave and Dan.
Ruth (or Ruthie as she was often fondly referred to) was best known for her incredible way of working herself into everyone’s heart. She was always so welcoming and pleasant to be around. No matter what she was going through she would always take the time to listen and to share her many life stories with literally anyone. The one word that stands out to us all when we think of her was LOVE. The love she had and happily shared was something we will miss the most. Especially her love for Jesus. Her whole life was a testament to the love and power and faithfulness of God.
She had many trials and sufferings in her life but she always rose up out of the ashes.
She was funny and loved nothing more than to gather her children and laugh until she couldn’t take anymore. It was the joy of her life to be a mother and grandmother. Nothing meant more to her.
And music.
She loved music. Especially jazz. She was a professional singer through the mid/late 60s and music was always such a huge part of her life.
She loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
“Be still, and know that I am God”
-psalm 46:10
