Roy Eklund

It is with great sadness that the family of Roy Eklund announce his sudden passing. He went to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the age of 70.

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his children, Charlene (Grant Schatz), Jason (Melissa); grandchildren, Alyssa, Kailey Schatz, Kittana, Kadence, Thane, Seth, Miranda Eklund; Brothers, Russel (Nancy), Danny (Verna), and Clifford, along with nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

Roy was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret Eklund; siblings, Walter and Eric; and wife of 24 years, Frances.

Even though he was diagnosed with a debilitating disease at the age of 40, Roy was known for his positive spirit and encouraging words. Many were touched by his welcoming smile and listening ear.

His life will be celebrated on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., at Anselmo Hall, on Highway 647 and Range Road 102, south west of Mayerthorpe.
