On November 15, 2016 at the age of 92, Dad was called Home to be with the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and his mother, Constance, father Volney, his older brother, Albert and his beloved son, Delbert.
He will be remembered by his wife, Evelyn and her family.
He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his two daughters;Valerie ( Terry) Burns and Cindy ( Brad) Semkew. Owen also leaves to mourn his passing; seven grandchildren; Chad and Brett (sons of Delbert), Nicole, Derek and Heather (children of Valerie); Brandon and Tyler (sons of Cindy) and nine great grandchildren.
Owen is also survived by his “baby” brother Everett York and his nephew Doug York and his family.
The family would also like to thank everyone who has played a role in Owen’s life in the communities in which he has lived. He was well known in these communities for his mechanical skills and his entrepreneurship in Gainford, AB; Brentwood Bay, BC and Wildwood, AB and his generosity and support for those in need.
A Celebration of Owen’s life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Evansburg Legion Hall 4823 – 50 St., Evansburg, Alberta.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the charity of your choice.
