Katherine (Dyck) Wiebe

Katherine Wiebe (nee Dyck) was born in Clarksburough, Saskatchewan on June 10, 1917 to Katherine and Peter Dyck. She died on December 21, 2016 at Pembina Village in Evansburg, Alberta. She was the sixth child of 13 children. The family lived around Hague, Saskatchewan.
In 1935, she married Henry Wiebe and raised 9 children; 5 boys and 4 girls. In 1964, the family made the move to Wildwood from Coalhurst, Alberta. There they continued to raise their family.  Katherine loved her family and enjoyed big family gatherings at Christmas, New Year’s and Easter. She was predeceased by her mother in 1924, her husband in 1973, her father in 1977 and her siblings; Peter, Annie, Henry, Herman, Jacob, Agnes, Corny, Elizabeth and half- sisters Lillian and Hilda. She is also predeceased by her children; Baby Wiebe, Kathy, Violet and Stan, her two grandchildren; Dean and Cheri and great grandchild Aaliyah.
She is survived by her children Ed (Corrine), Victor (Donna), Marianne (Doug), Fred (Elmora), Dan (Gail), and Maxine, daughter in law Tay, son in laws; Kurt and Harold, half- brother Bill (Alma), sister Helen and brother in law Ben. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of Katherine's life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Wildwood Hall. Public viewing will start at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m, then interment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at The Wildwood Ladies Aid Cemetery. The celebration service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
