Hoecherl, Joyce Marguerite

On May 27th 2015, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother went to be with our precious Lord Jesus at the age of 74 years old, at Lynwood Care Centre in Edmonton Alberta.

Joyce was born and raised in Manning Alberta with her family.  Her love and talent of music was a thread that was weaved thourghout every season of her life, and shared with many.  With her husband and 5 children in the Valleyview Alberta area, she was involved in farming, raising livestock , a 4H leader, sewed figure skating dresses, gardened ect.

In 1974 Joyce and the children moved to the country in Fairview ALberta, surrounded by Joyce's family. It was there she had a fabric and shoe shop, got involved in politics, married George Choukalos, was very involved in the community and her church. Joyce had a love for the Lord which brought her to her long term service at the David Thompson Bible Camp, which she spoke of often.

Joyce then worked side by side with her daughter Ramona and son- in - law Nick in their company named Nomad Electric in Peace River. For the remainder of her life she continued to enjoy music, her walk with the Lord and continued to watch her family grow.

She is predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Hoecherl (1987) Frank Hoecherl (Dec 1990) : The father of her children Ervin Antypowich (August 2002), her husband of 23 years George Choukalos (April 2000) Brother Keith Hoecherl (April 2000) Sister Ruby (March 2007) Sister Mildred (June 2010), brother Angus (January 2014), Son in law Nick Thoma (May 2013).
