ORCHISON, John "Jack" Miller (1923-2021)
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of John "Jack" Orchison of Gainford, Alberta announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the age of 98.  He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Bobbi (George), Katy (Kenny) and Mary (Randy).  “Gramps” will also be dearly missed by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. 
Jack was predeceased by his wife Marlene, father John "Jock", mother Rebecca, sisters Betty and Kitty and brother Jim.  

He will be fondly remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather and friend.  He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important — the simplicity of living a life with those you love. 
The family would like to send a special thank you to the kind and welcoming staff at the Good Samaritan Pembina Village for giving Gramps a home away from home.
A private burial service for family and close friends will be held at the Evansburg cemetery.
Jack was a proud veteran and a longstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to The Royal Canadian Legion (4823 50 St, Evansburg, AB T0E 0T0) or The Alzheimer Society of Alberta (10430 61 Ave NW #306, Edmonton, AB T6H 2J3).
