Jerry was raised in Stephenville, Newfoundland, the oldest of two sisters and seven brothers. He enjoyed lobster feasts, fishing, boating, hunting, motorcycling, and quadding. He loved playing his guitar at kitchen parties with his siblings and friends. He had a special love and interest in dogs and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. Jerry came to Alberta in the early seventies, and worked as a heavy equipment operator for 39 years. He especially enjoyed having early morning coffees with the guys.
