Helga (Gutsche) Boone

 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Helga, our beloved wife, proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helga passed away peacefully on October 6, 2021, at the age of 81. Helga will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Vic Boone. Cherishing her memory will be her son Roland, daughter-in-law Patti, daughter Heidi, son-in-law Terry, grandchildren Steven, Dustin, Lacy, Nicole, Randelle, great grandchildren Brooke, Mikael, Precious, Cassie, Jada, Kinsley, Avi and Raiden. Helga took the roll of being the unofficial “Canadian Family” to Marc, Natasja, Pien, Anke, Jannik and Lizzy. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Ron (Gail), sister-in-laws Margaret and Louise, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Helga was born in Rohrbach, Besserabin in 1940. The Gutsche family immigrated to Canada in 1959 and made their home in Edmonton AB. Helga learned the language, began working and started her own family. She then moved to Wildwood and worked at the NADP in Evansburg in 1965, this is where she met Vic. They married April 18, 1968 and raised their family on a farm just outside of Wildwood. It was July 1,1975 that Helga became a Proud Canadian, she came out of the Courthouse that day with a smile that lit up the world! Helga was well known for always having a full pot of coffee, cake and a welcoming smile. She was determined and a hard worker. She probably served or cooked a meal for you if you ever stopped at the Wildwood Hotel Café or the Lighthouse Restaurant. She loved people and held her friends close.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Helga at a later time.
