Eileen Yakimovich Obituary

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Shirley Yakimovich.

She passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 at her beloved farm in Seba Beach.

Eileen was born to the late Harold and Margaret Gardiner in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on September 12, 1945 and is survived by her older brother, Gordon Gardiner.

Eileen married Walter in 1969 and was blessed with a large family of five children: Allen Gardiner (Heather), Colleen Callan (Ken), Maria Pullen (Dan), Caroline Verbeek (Wayne) and Reece Yakimovich (Gwen).

Later in life, she lovingly embraced the arrival of thirteen grandchildren: Brianne Kidner, Jasmine McKinnon, Jonathon Anderson, Bayley Verbeek, Mackenzie Anderson, Amber Verbeek, Wyatt Verbeek, Hailey Yakimovich, Emma Pullen, Gracie Yakimovich, Ali Pullen, Madison Yakimovich, Carter Pullen, and one great grandchild: Bennett McKinnon.

Early in her marriage, Eileen lived in Spain while Walter was away working on the oil rigs in North Africa.

Eileen and Walter then settled in Seba Beach where they bought the family farm in 1973 and raised their children.

Eileen was known as an impressive home maker, gardener, farmer, seamstress and cook.  She enjoyed spending her days caring for her children, then grandchildren and all the animals at the farm. She was especially fond of her dogs Ree, Mitzi and several cats.

Eileen, you were loved like no other, you were the best daughter, wife, mom, grandmother anyone could want. Love you forever.
