Catherine Joyce Wilkie

With great sadness we announce that On December 26, 2020, our beautiful mother and grand mother of 83 years, Catherine Joyce Wilkie defied restrictions and gathered with her loved ones above.

Joyce was predeceased by Husband Henry Wilkie in June of 2016, her parents Blanch Williams and David Williams, brothers Keith MacLeod, Rod and Ken Williams, and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She leaves behind Daughters, Holly Wilkie (Rick Burnsides), Tracey Ainsworth (Greg Ainsworth) and Son, Todd Wilkie. Grand children, Brooke and Dillon Burnsides and Jade Ainsworth.

Joyce resided in Fallis Alberta for 57 years and was able to stay in her own home until shortly before her passing. She was an active member in the community for the majority of those years. She was a loving friend, cousin, sister, aunt, grand mother and mother. When she found out 2 yrs. ago that she had lung cancer, she put that fact aside and continued to live her life as full as she possibly could. Covid also did not stop her from living, going to bingo, or doing anything she pleased, nor did it end her life. Sadly, the cancer returned over the last couple months, but Joyce was ready with her matching nail polish, jewelry and lipstick right up to the end. We will have a celebration of her life in the summer when we can all gather, reflect on her contagious laugh and celebrate the beautiful person she was. For now she is in the arms of those who love her.
