Bruce Victor Boone

August 23, 1944 – May 27, 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bruce (Victor) Boone our proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bruce passed away suddenly on May 27, 2022 at the age of 77. Bruce will be forever remembered by his son Roland, daughter-in-law Patti, daughter Heidi, son-in-law Terry, grandchildren Steven, Dustin, Lacy, Nicole, Randelle, great grandchildren, Brooke, Mikael, Precious, Cassie, Jada, Kinsley, Avi and Raiden. Bruce took pride in being the unofficial “Canadian Family” to Marc, Natasja, Pien, Anke, Jannik and Lizzy. Bruce will be missed by his brother Ron (Gail), sister-in-laws Margaret and Louise, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Bruce was born in Wildwood, AB to Buster and Martha Boone. He was the youngest of 6 children. He met Helga where they worked together at the NADP in Evansburg in 1965, they married April 18, 1968 and raised Roland and Heidi on the farm north of Wildwood. He was heart broken with the passing of Helga on October 6, 2021.

Bruce was an honest, hard-working man that was always willing to lend a helping hand and had tons of stories to tell. His road in life took him on many paths, he was a farmer, truck driver for the NADP, serviceman for the coalmine, had his own gravel truck, then went into logging and ran his sawmill. He supplied rough cut lumber to many in the area. He worked on his sawmill to the last day, just as he wanted. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
