Andreas Mueller

Dr. Andreas Helmut Mueller, Evansburg's local retired veterinarian, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2022, at the age of 69.Andy is survived by his wife Roxane and his children Lukas (Jaqueline), Anika (Dominic), and Simon. Andy was born on March 8th, 1953 in Germany. He grew up alongside horses and actively competed in three-day eventing throughout his youth. As a young man Andy served in the military, and then completed the Giessen University Veterinary Medicine program. He started working as a veterinarian in Germany, subsequently married the love of his life Roxy, and then moved his young family to Evansburg in 1994, where he ran the Evansburg Veterinary Clinic until his retirement in 2016.Andy was a loving husband and father, a generous and thoughtful friend, and treasured member of the community. He maintained his passion for horses throughout his life, travelled widely, and always had time for good food and a good laugh. When Andy wasn’t spending time with his family he could be found strumming a guitar and sharing a beer with friends. 

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, April 23rd at the Evansburg Legion, with lunch and an open mic jam session to follow - if you would like to play, please contact Greg Germscheid (1 403 860 3127).In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to either Veterinarians Without Borders or Doctors without Borders, links will be available at  the service.The family respectfully requests that people wear masks for this event.
