IN LOVING MEMORY OF
~ Adolf (Al) Nickel ~
June 21, 1942 ~ May 3, 2024
It is with deep sadness that the family of Adolf (Al) Nickel announce his passing May 3, 2024.
Al was born on June 21, 1942 in Prinzenhos, Poland.
In 1948, after surviving the war, his family immigrated to Canada, settling in Camrose, AB. Al spent his whole life living in Alberta, with exceptions of working on Sable Island, NS; and many winters in Yuma, where he so enjoyed spending time with family and great friends, in the warm Arizona sunshine. He resided in Evansburg for the last 15 years loving the small town atmosphere and the surrounding beauty. Al enjoyed many road trips on the motorcycle and in his convertible.
Adolf was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret (Margie); parents Emil and Hulda Nickel; brother Edmund (Ed) and wife Elsie Nickel; sister Erna Rockney and husband Norman Rockney; nephews Marvin and wife Brenda Rockney and Larry Smigelski and special little dogs, Smokey 1 and Smokey 2.
Al will be lovingly remembered and so missed by his sister Frieda Kellough (Eldon); brother Kurt Nickel; nieces and nephews Rita, Art, Richard, Monica, Deborah, Bill, David, Cindy and Kevin and their respected spouses; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and his life long friends Doug, Mo , Frank and their families.
From Kurt, "I will miss you, my Brother...Until we meet again, in Heaven." Adolf, you are already so missed! In our hearts and in our memories, you will live on, forever and always... Rest In Peace.
