The family of Adelaide Burke announces her peaceful passing on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the age of 93 Years.

Left to mourn and cherish her memory is her four sons; Douglas, Brian, Leslie and James Burke, her daughter Lynette and son-in-law’s; Lorne Nienaber & Richard Semenya, daughter-in-law’s; Lynn & Lilia, grandsons; Clayton, Benjamin and Kevin, granddaughter’s; Carla, Trisha, April, Tyler and Jennifer, great grandchildren; River, Tyler, Colton, Ezra, Brooklynn and Taylor.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Angus Burke, grandsons Cory and Scott and daughter Lloy Semenyna.

The family would like to thank the staff at Serenity House for their love, comfort and enjoyment they have brought to Adelaide’s life for the past three and a half years. Thank you to Dr. Gigg and Dr. Thompson for their support and guidance during Adelaide’s last days and thank you to the staff of Drayton Valley Hospital for their hard work, kindness and professionalism in the care of Adelaide.

Adelaide’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for all the thoughtful expressions of love and kindness by relatives and friends during this time of loss and bereavement.

Granting Adelaide’s final wishes, a private family celebration will be held.
